Kedarnath and Badrinath temples to close in November for winters

The Uttarakhand Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board has said Kedarnath and Badrinath temples will close for winters in November. The Kedarnath temple will close on November 22 while the Badrinath temple will close on November 20. Besides this, the Tungnath temple will also close on October 30. Rudraprayag district, where the Kedarnath temple is located, receives snowfall during the winters, making travel nearly impossible.
