Man to be released after spending 20 years in prison under false rape accusations

Vishnu Tiwari, a resident of Uttar Pradesh's Lalitpur village has been declared innocent by Allahabad High Court in a 20-year-old rape case. Tiwari had to spend 20 years behind the bars after he was accused of rape by a woman from Silawan in the year 2000. Tiwari also lost his family members during the period he spent in jail. VK Singh, Senior Superintendent, Agra Central Jail said Tiwari will be released soon.
