Mental health and productivity of workers in Iceland after 4-day workweek program

The trials were launched by the Reykjavik City Council in response to civil society organisations and trade unions claiming that Iceland lags behind most of its Nordic neighbours in terms of work-life balance. Iceland experimented with a four-day workweek for some of its employees. 1% of Iceland's workforce took part in two trials. According to the research, there was no decrease in production, and well-being improved.
