Mental illness is affecting 1 out of 7 in India : ICMR

One out of seven Indians are suffering from some kind of mental disorder. According to the ICMR reports, depression and anxiety disorders have been the most common mental disorders affecting 45.7 million and 44.9 million people each in India. Depression associated with suicide death is another concern in the country. Idiopathic developmental intellectual disability and schizophrenia also affect many people here.
