Minor girls allowed to marry on hitting puberty by Muslim Law: Court

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has ruled that a Muslim minor girl who has attained puberty is allowed to marry under the Muslim laws. The High Court ruled this while relying on the literature on Muslim marriages and various court judgments. The court referred to Article 495 from the book "Principles of Mohammedan Law" by Sir Dinshah Fardunji Mulla while making the statement. The ruling was made by Justice Alka Sarin.
