Julius Ssekitoleko disappeared from the Ugandan team's training facility in Izumisano, Osaka. According to reports, he left behind a message stating that life in Uganda was challenging and that he wanted to stay and work in Japan. Ssekitoleko was unable to compete in the Tokyo Olympics and was scheduled to return to Uganda on Tuesday. According to accounts, he purchased a bullet train ticket to Nagoya in central Japan at a local train station.
