More than 30,000 tremors shook Antarctica in the past 3 months: Study

According to a new study by researchers at the University of Chile, Antarctica witnessed more than 30,000 tremors since the end of August 2020. Scientists with the university's National Seismological Center detected one stronger shake of magnitude 6 and several small tremors. "Most of the seismicity is concentrated at the beginning of the sequence, mainly during the month of September," said the Seismological Center.
