Mumbai Police commissioner transfers 13 EOW officers

Hemant Nagrale, the newly appointed Mumbai Police commissioner, has transferred 13 police officers from the economic offences wing (EOW). Nagrale has taken up the task of cleaning the image of the Mumbai Police that took a hit after the Sachin Vaze incident. The officers served in EOW for over five years while as per the general norms, an officer "is supposed to serve on a post for a period of three years."
