The names of the 20 soldiers of the Indian Army who laid down their lives while protecting national interest during the Galwan clash, has been inscribed on a war memorial in eastern Ladakh. Colonel B Santosh Babu, the commanding officer of 16 Bihar and 19 others were martyred while fighting on June 15 after a deadly conflict broke out near Patrolling Point 14 in Galwan Valley. The deadly conflict lasted over 7 hours.
