The Australian government is going to reveal new legislation in its parliament on Wednesday that is aimed at making Facebook and Google pay for journalism. The legislation is aimed at creating the News Media Bargaining Code and it will be scrutinized by a parliamentary committee, said Treasurer Josh Frydenberg. “This is a world first. And the world is watching what happens here in Australia," Frydenberg said.
