Newly scaled Himalayan peaks named after Atal Bihari Vajpayee

A Himalayan expedition was jointly conducted by Nehru Institute of Mountaineering and the Tourism Department, flagged off from Dehradun by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, in which the team scaled four peaks at the heights 6,557, 6,566, 6,160 and 6,100metres on the right flank of Gangotri glacier. These four peaks have now been named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as Atal-1,2,3 and 4.
