A Neolithic site dating back to 5000 BC has been discovered by archaeologists in Tell el-Samara in Egypt. Chief archaeologist Frederic Gio informed that the animal bones and food found in silos at the site indicate human presence 2500 years before the building of Giza pyramids, making this site the oldest village in the Nile delta. The site is located 140 kilometres north of Cairo and could revive Egypt's tourism.
