No. 18 Squadron ‘Flying Bullets’ of IAF operationalised at Sulur airbase; Air Chief flies Tejas

Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria operationalised No. 18 Squadron ‘Flying Bullets’ at the Sulur airbase on Wednesday and took a sortie. No 18 Squadron ‘Flying Bullets’ today became the second IAF squadron to fly LCA Tejas. The squadron was formed on April 15, 1965 and used to operate MIG-27 fighter jets. The IAF has inducted 16 weaponised Tejas fighter jets into its combat fleet since June 2018.
