No justification for media trials: Centre tells Bombay High Court

The centre informed the Bombay High Court that it did not seek to justify media trials. "We do not seek to justify media trial. All courts have condemned media trial. There is an existing statutory framework which covers electronic media. News broadcasters also have self-regulatory guidelines," Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh said after the court asked about the statutory mechanism to regulate media content.
