No stay on Central Vista project as Supreme Court refuses to interfere with Delhi High Court order

In a major win for the Narendra Modi-led central government, the Supreme Court has refused to interfere with the Delhi High Court order that dismissed a plea seeking a stay on the Central Vista Project. The top court refused to entertain the petitions challenging the High Court order. The centre's ambitious Central Vista project includes a new Parliament building, a common Central Secretariat and a revamp of the 3-km-long Rajpath.
