North Korea submits request for Covid vaccine after claiming to have no cases for months

After claiming to have no coronavirus cases for months and lauding the strict restrictions in view of Covid, the North Korean leadership has submitted the application with the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations for Covid vaccines. GAVI is assessing the request by individual nations. North Korea is among 86 of 92 countries eligible for GAVI's assistance for lower-income nations. North reportedly has no Covid cases.
