Northeastern Heilongjiang province in China declares emergency amid rise in coronavirus cases

In a bid to control the outbreak of the coronavirus, the government of northeastern Heilongjiang has declared an emergency. The 37.5 million population in the province has been asked not to leave the province unless absolutely necessary. The residents of the province have been also asked to cancel conferences and gatherings in view of rising Covid-19 cases. 28 fresh Covid-19 cases were reported in the province.
