It has been 6 days since the landslide triggered by the heavy rains struck Pettimudi in Kerala's Idukki district. The landslide hit an area that was home to some 82 tea plantation workers, who were sleeping at the time. According to local media, the first one to reach the spot was Senthil Kumar, a field officer of the Kannan Devan Hills Plantations, which owned the estate.
