Pakistan Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed gave a controversial remark days after police fired tear gas on protesting government employees for salary hike. Rashid said it was "necessary to test the tear gas as it had been unused for a long time". "Only a little was tested, not a lot," He claimed while addressing a ceremony in Rawalpindi. Rashid added that the real problem was the pay raise in the time of inflation.
