Philippines' Maria Ressa, Russia's Dmitry Muratov get Nobel Peace Prize

Maria Ressa from Philippines and Dmitry Muratov from Russia, have been awarded the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. The two have been given the award “for their efforts to safeguard freedom of expression, which is a precondition for democracy and lasting peace.” Ressa co-founded Rappler, a digital media company for investigative journalism to expose "abuse of power" in her country. Muratov is the editor-in-chief of newspaper Novaya Gazeta.
