PLA modernising ground units in Xinjiang after clash with India

Months after China faced a major setback during the border clashes in the Ladakh region, it has been revealed that the People's Liberation Army is working heavily on the modernisation of the ground units in the Xinjiang Military District. The Xinjiang military unit operates under the Western Theater Command. The revelation has been made by the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University.
