Japanese scientists have established that protective face shields are not sufficient in preventing the spread of coronavirus. They have calculated the percentage of droplets escaping the protective face wear. According to Fugaku, a supercomputer, nearly 100% of airborne droplets of less than 5 micrometer make way their out despite the face shield. They said the effectiveness of face guards is limited as compared to masks.
