"Preparing for a time when women will be sent for combat": Army Chief

Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Mukund Naravane was asked about the possibility of deployment of woman officers in combat roles, to which he responded that the Army always had an inclusive policy and "never had any reservation" to admitting women. "The creation of additional squadrons and the creation of additional infrastructure are already in progress. We are very much in the way of admitting women in the NDA," he said.
