President, PM, governors and all elected members to take 30% salary cut for 1 year amid coronavirus outbreak

Union minister Prakash Javadekar said the Union Cabinet has approved an ordinance slashing the pension and allowances of members of the Parliament by 30 per cent for a year. Apart from this, President, vice-President, Governors and PM will also take a salary cut for a year. All the slashed amount for a year, will go to the Consolidated Fund of India. The new ordinance will be in effect from April 1, 2020.
