Rabindranath Tagore’s signed book auctioned at $700

Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s signed copy of his book ‘The King of Dark Chamber’, the translated version of Bengali play ‘Raja’ was recently auctioned at the US and it was sold for $700. The play revolves around an unseen, benevolent and omniscient king. It was published in the year 1916, by Macmillan Company and signed with a fountain pen by Tagore. It was expected to fetch at least $500 in the auction.
