Researchers in Denmark discover 'Zombie flies'

2020 is yet to end and when we thought that we have seen almost everything, researchers in Denmark have discovered 'Zombie Flies'. In simple terms, researchers at the University of Copenhagen have found two new species of fungi that infect flies and then eject small rocket-like spores from the abdomen. “Strongwellsea tigrinae” and “Strongwellsea acerosa” species were found in two species- “Coenosia tigrina” and “Coenosia testacea”.
