Retired Allahabad high court judge appointed by UP government to probe Lakhimpur Kheri violence

Retired Allahabad high court judge Pradeep Kumar Shrivastava has been appointed by the Uttar Pradesh government to investigate the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. The single-person commission will submit a report in two months. The appointment of Mr. Shrivastava was recommended by governor Anandiben Patel. Over 20 people including Union Minister Ajay Misra's son Ashish Mishra have been booked in connection with the case.
