The world's most elusive wild cat is the Saharan Cheetah and has not been spotted in a decade. The cheetah was now spotted in Hoggar Mountains, Algeria, for the first time in 10 years. The Saharan cheetah is more nocturnal and only 37 cheetahs are estimated to be in existence with isolated pockets across the Sahara and Sahel. The cheetah is critically endangered on the IUCN Red List with only 6,600 present worldwide.
