Saudi's prominent women’s rights activist who fought for women's right to drive imprisoned under anti-terror law

Loujain al-Hathloul, a prominent activist from Saudi Arabia, has been sentenced to nearly six years in prison under a counterterrorism law. The activist has already been in pre-trial detention. Hathloul was one of the activists who spearheaded the fight for women's right to drive in the Islamic country. She was sentenced to five years and eight months by the kingdom’s anti-terrorism court on charges of "agitating for change."
