Security forces gun down woman Maoist carrying reward of Rs. 2 lakh in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada

A woman Maoist carrying a reward of Rs. 2 lakh on her head, was gunned down in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district on Monday. The 24-year-old maoist was identified as Vaiko Pekko. Police recovered her body from the encounter spot along with two country-made firearms, an improvised explosive device. The encounter took place at 6:30 am. Pekko was active as a member of the PLGA platoon no.16.
