Sewage water might give an early warning signal about coronavirus: Study

A new study from the Netherlands could very well tilt the scales in our favour as scientists have found traces of the deadly coronavirus at a wastewater facility in Amersfoort. This discovery was done before the 1st cases were reported in the city. Sewage surveillance is not a new practice & it can also help discover the emergence of a new virus. For Netherlands, sewage surveillance gave some time to prepare for the outbreak.
