Situation at LAC 'overall stable and controllable', says China amid standoff with India

Amid the ongoing standoff with India along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), China on Wednesday said that the situation at the border is "overall stable and controllable". A Foreign Ministry spokesman said both India and China have proper mechanisms and communication channels in place to resolve disputes through dialogue and consultation. The troops from both the sides have been deployed across the border in large numbers.
