In a first of its kind discovery, a Very Large Telescope (VLT) from European Southern Observatory has spotted a web of gas near a supermassive black hole that has trapped six galaxies. According to scientists, the 'spider web' is 300 times bigger than the Milky Way. Marco Mignoli, the lead author of the discovery published in Astronomy and Astrophysics has said that the "cosmic filaments are like spider's web threads".
