The government officials have warned that spitting in public or chewing tobacco could help spread coronavirus infection. The ICMR has issued an advisory asking people to avoid smoking, spitting in public places, and consumption of tobacco products over the risk of coronavirus pandemic. UP was the first state to ban sale of tobacco products and spitting in public places to curb the spread of deadly coronavirus.
