A study by researchers at the Harvard University T.H. Chan School of Public Health has suggested that higher pollution levels are linked with higher mortality rates associated with the novel coronavirus cases. As per the study, even a slight increase of PM 2.5 level in the atmosphere could be responsible for a significant spike in death rates. The increase in death rates associated with Covid-19 cases could rise up to 20 times.
