Supreme Case refers Sabarimala case to larger bench by 3:2 split verdict

The Supreme Court today referred the petitions seeking review of the apex court’s 2018 judgment allowing entry of women between the ages of 10 and 50 into the Sabarimala temple, to a larger bench by a split verdict of 3:2. The court said, “Individual right to pray at the temple cannot be superior to what is considered as religious by another section is what petitions have argued. Now, a 7-judge bench will hear the case.
