A woman does not sleep after being sexually assaulted, said Karnataka High Court while giving bail to a rape accused. The court said this is not how Indian women react when they are assaulted, doubting the version of the complainant. Giving reasons for the bail order, the court noted that the complainant's claim of having slept after the perpetration of the act because she was tired was unbecoming of an Indian woman.
