A Tibetan man who was serving as a New York police officer has been charged with espionage by the US authorities. The man is accused of gathering information about the city’s Tibetan community and transferring it to the Chinese government. The 33-year-old man gathered information about the Tibetan community's activities between 2018 and 2020. He was reportedly paid tens of thousands of dollars by the Chinese government.
