Tirupati temple trust being questioned for missing ornaments

An RTI plea by one BKSR Ayyangar for a declaration of Tirumala temples as ancient monuments has shed light on shrine's trust, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam's reluctance to protect the 1500-year-old structures. Ayyangar also complained that the ornaments donated by 16th century Vijayanagara ruler Sri Krishna Devaraya are not present in the inventory due to which Central Information Commission is questioning the trust.
