Tourists stuck near China border in Sikkim due to snowfall rescued by Indian Army

As many as 447 tourists who were left stranded near the India-China border in Sikkim due to heavy rainfall, were rescued by the Indian Army. The tourists got stuck on the Nathu La- Gangtok road after a heavy snowstorm hit the area amid the extreme cold. As many as 155 vehicles carrying the tourists were stuck due to the snowstorm. The tourists were accommodated inside the barracks of 17 Mile Military Camp.
