17 years after the 9/11 terrorist attack, Cortlandt Street on the 1 line in New York City has been reopened. The subway station, which was destroyed after the collapse of World Trade Centre towers, was restored by building a new ceiling, replacing 365 metres of track and adding new air ventilation system. On Sunday, the first train in 17 years came into the station, which has been renamed as WTC Cortlandt station.
