A 7.5 magnitude earthquake hit Alaska. The major earthquake triggered small tsunami waves off the coast Monday. The authorities evacuated residents to higher ground as a major part of the southern coast was covered by the Tsunami waves. “All the couches, recliners and bookcases were moving around, and I had to pretty much hold one of them up,” Cold Bay resident Michael Ashley told a newspaper, calling the quake “a pretty good ride.”
