Unexploded projectile found by group of boys playing cricket near Chennai

A group of boys found an unexploded projectile while playing cricket at a ground in Periyapalayam, a place on Chennai's outskirts. The youths were digging the ground to fix stumps when they found the unexploded projectile. The boys started hitting the projectile with their bats but were luckily stopped by someone. The locals alerted the police when they got to know about the projectile that was a foot long and weighed 8 kg.
