UP Police STF rescue more than 1,300 Indian Flapshell Turtles in Kanpur

Uttar Pradesh Police's Special Task Force rescued more than 1,300 Indian flapshell turtles from a truck in Kanpur. According to senior police official T B Singh, the turtles were allegedly being taken to West Bengal for smuggling out of the country. Truck driver Rambrash Yadav (48) and helper Vinod Kumar Savira have been held by the police. The turtles were stuffed in sacks and some were lying on the truck's floor.
