US removed India from its Currency Monitoring List, China stays

The US removed India from its currency monitoring list of major trading partners, citing certain developments & steps being taken by Delhi which address some of its major concerns. Switzerland has also been removed from the list. Its current monitoring list includes China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Singapore, Malaysia & Vietnam. The US urged the Asian nations to take steps to avoid persistently weak currency.
