The Taliban is moving forward with its offensive mission at an unexpected pace and the insurgent group looks set to seize Kabul in the coming months. Meanwhile, US has sent an additional 3,000 troops to Afghanistan temporarily to ensure the safe evacuation of the embassy staff. "We've been evaluating the security situation every day to determine how best to keep those serving at the embassy safe," said Ned Price.
