Uttar Pradesh DGP Writes to MHA seeking ban on PFI after violent protests against CAA

Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Om Prakash Singh has written a letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), seeking a ban on the Popular Front of India or PFI. DGP Singh alleged that members of the PFI were involved in "violent protests" against the Citizenship Amendment Act that took place in parts of Uttar Pradesh on December 19. He had earlier told media that he has solid evidence against the PFI.
