Vice-Chairman of group organising Tiananmen vigils arrested by Hong Kong Police on crackdown’s anniversary

Chow Hang Tung, the vice-chairwoman of the group which organises annual vigils for the victims of China’s 1989 Tiananmen crackdown, has been arrested by Hong Kong Police. According to Chiu Yan Loy, she has been arrested for promoting an unauthorised assembly. Thousands of police personnel are likely to be deployed on the city's streets to prevent people from gathering to commemorate the June 4 crackdown.
