Vietnam strengthening defences in Spratly Islands to counter China

China continues to add to the list of its adversaries as Vietnam, one of China's adversaries has started building up its defences in the Spratly Islands for the past couple of years. According to Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative's report by the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, Vietnam has installed air and coastal defence systems on its bases with the capacity to strike Chinese facilities if the need arises.
