More than 30 nations have requested India to supply hydroxychloroquine amid the coronavirus crisis. With a further push from US, India has agreed to supply the drug to the nations worst-hit by the crisis. The Indian drug manufacturers association has informed that about 20 crore units of HCQ are produced annually. India consumes only about 3 crore units a year. India leads the exports with about a 75-80% share of the market.
